Private, regular.

Excellent Dutch's lessons are focused on CONVERSATION. In order to converse one needs to (1) actually do it, to practise.We start from there. Where conversation gets stuck, we fill gaps in knowledge, concerning (2) pronunciation, (3) vocabulary,and (4) grammar. As Dutch pronunciation tells a lot about (5) spelling, Excellent Dutch integrates spelling in pronunciation.Also grammar is integrated in the conversation, in order to achieve that one can - as much as possible - use it right away in daily conversation.In order to obtain this, Excellent Dutch teaches grammar in a way that is as compact and practical (ready for use) as possible.
Excellent Dutch will do a little coaching as well about how to practise Dutch in daily conversation, because it is not easy to learn to speak Dutch in Holland,as most people - as soon as they notice you are foreigner - will direct to you in any other language but Dutch. Practising Dutch in daily conversation will be part of home-work exercise.

Private, intensive.

The individual INTENSIVE courses have the same content,structure and method as the individual regular lessons.It is just intended to give
your Dutch a boost within a short time.The student takes lessons every weekday (f.e." minimum course" : 5 x 1.5 hours per week,during 2
weeks = 15 hours )during a couple of weeks, or even including the weekend .

- "minimum course" : 5 x 1.5 hours per week,during 2 weeks = 15 hours = € 324,90 

- variation 1 course : 5 x 2 hours per week, during 2 weeks = 20 hours = € 433,20 

- variation 2 course : 5 x 1.5 hours per week,during 4 weeks = 30 hours = € 649,80 

- "maximum" course : 5 x 2 hours per week,during 4 weeks = 40 hours = € 866,40

These private intensive courses can also be tutored through Skype .
 

II Skype lessons . Through the highly accesible platform of Skype, individual teaching is provided with streaming video & audio,creating a unique
opportunity for students all over the world to benefit from the highly efficient and personalized individual tutoring.

III Group lessons and group courses .

Students can either apply for lessons as a group - forming their own class so to speak- or participate in a course set up by ED.

 The Beginners- Medium group course :

cused on conversation, on a solid base of pronunciation, spelling and grammar.

suitable for people that start "from scratch" and for "semi- beginners". 

every Wednesday: 19.30-21.00 and Thursday, 19.30-21.00, , 

start: March 3rd and 4th, if minimum of 3 participants. 

16 weeks in a row , 

max. participants: around 8. 

costs: € 271,68 (total hours : 24) for either Monday or Thursday. 

€ 543,36 (total hours : 48) for Monday ánd Thursday. 

included : audio- CD on pronunciation and digital grammar files on all subjects. 

With the subscription you can participate on both Monday- ánd Thursday evenings or one of them - as you wish. The advantage of this subscription is first of all a bigger flexibility: if Monday in a particular week is inconvenient for you, than you can participate on the Thursday evening, or vice versa. Another advantage is that if you like to have more exercise / if you find it difficult to study on your own and perform better in a group / if you need more explanation or repetition or if you're particulary keen on getting grip on a particular subject , you can hear the subjects repeated, as the same lesson will be tutored twice ( Monday and Thursday), and of course this is a particular advantage in case you don't have the very favorable situation to actually practise Dutch in daily life, as the conversational part of the lesson ( 1 hour of every evening) creates the opportunity to actually speak Dutch 2 hours per week. For particiption Excellent Dutch will do a little " intake- test" by telephone. 

content of lesson: The lessons will cover these subjects: 

"basic knowledge", as there is: 

1. Pronunciation, 2. Spelling, 3. Reading, 4.Present - and Past Tense regular- and irregular verbs, 5. Basic knowledge of gender of words ( het /de), 6.Vocabulary, based on regular- and irregular verbs and genderlist and adjectives, adverbs, personal pronouns, 7. Syntaxis/word order in sentence, 8. All kind of basic skills on a "need to know" basis (f.e.: "om te" and choice between "hebben" or "zijn" in the ( Present) Perfect Past, the choice between Simple Past and (Present) Perfect Past, Future Tense, Passive etc.etc. 9. The actual proficiency to express one self in Dutch conversation in the conversational part of the lesson) . 

Structure of lesson: 

In the first hour of the lesson we will go through "basic knowledge", see above. 

The 2nd hour will be conversational : bringing in practice what you have learnt in the first part of the lesson . This part also includes coaching, concerning "how to practise Dutch in daily life" , through special exercises and advise .
 

II The Medium - Advanced group course: 

Focused on conversation, on a solid base of pronunciation, spelling and grammar. 

suitable for people that have a proficiency that is "average" up to " medium-advanced"

(not suitable for absolutely advanced level ). 

every Tuesday and Friday, 19.00-21.00, 

start: March 5th. 

16 weeks in a row, 

max. participants: around 8,

costs: € 362,24 (total hours : 32) for either Tuesday or the Friday. 

€ 724,48 (total hours : 64 ) for Tuesday ánd Friday. 

included :audio- CD on pronunciation and digital grammar files on all subjects. 

With the subscription you can participate - like the "beginners- medium course" - on both evenings if you wish , or switch evenings if a particular evening is inconvenient to you.

We will practise conversation, write and read, but the student is supposed to be (more) familiar with the basic knowledge as described above. We will extend knowledge by learning new and more complicated vocabulary, by dealing with sentences with a more complicated structure, and we will develop conversational skills to a higher level. 

Also in this course the first hour will be more "theoretical " (pronunciation, grammar, spelling, reading ) and the second hour wil be conversational ( see "beginners- medium course" ) .For particiption Excellent Dutch will do a little " intake- test" by telephone.

III The "TALK- IN" : 

every Monday, 19.30-21.00, 
 

start: March 8th, if minimum of 3 participants.

16 weeks in a row, 

costs: € 271,68 (= 11,32 per hour). 24 hours in total. 

This course is strictly conversational and suitable for people that have a proficiency that is "avarage" up to "advanced". For particiption Excellent Dutch will do a little " intake- test" by telephone. 

content and structure: In the first hour you will only talk Dutch , with the teacher as "conversation- host ". In the last 30 minutes everyone will get comments and guidelines/ advice , concerning what to work on for the next session.

Prices. 

The single lessons are the most expensive once ( see price table). You buy just one lesson and take a lesson whenever you feel like it.If a student books lessons for a minimum of 4 weeks in a row with an avarage of 1 hour per week, a more favourable longer term rate will be applied.

- a trial lesson: Trial lessons are optional. You could also order a 4/8/12/16 weeks arrangement right away. The trial lesson is intended to globally find out whether you think Excellent Dutch lessons are what you might be looking for. They have the same price as the  "single lessons"( see price table) . If, after a trial lesson you decide to continue with an agreement for at least 4 weeks, you will receive a discount over the trial lesson, depending the rate of the course you choose. In that case , the course rate will alsop apply to the trial lesson.

 -a 12 weeks agreement = doing a minimum of 12 hours in 12 weeks in a row, within these 12 weeks in a row you can shove with the dates and times ,

and cancelled lessons can be caught up within the 4 callendar weeks that are covered by the agreement, if notice of cancellation is given at least 24 hours before and as long as there is space).

-a 16 weeks agreement = doing a minimum of 16 hours in 16 weeks in a row, within these 16 weeks in a row you can shove with the dates and times ,
